1. HAACP Program
- Document Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points
- Magnets throughout plant
2. GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Hand sanitation stations
- Uniforms
- No Jewelry
- Hair coverings
- No eating or drinking in plant
- No makeup, false fingernails, false eyelashes, etc.
3. Product Zones
- All ‘open’ product zones are controlled from possible contamination
- All utensils are sanitized and properly stored
- Only food grade lubricants used in the plant
- The facility and grounds have 100% controlled access
4. Pest Control
- Weekly fogging
- Documented rodent control program with live traps
- All doors and windows properly sealed
- Bug lights properly placed
5. Sanitation Program
- Master sanitation schedule
- Outside DFA inspections 2 times per year
- Documented approved chemical list
6. Quality Program
- QA personnel on each shift
- Documented recall program
- Documented customer complaint system
- Environmental micro testing
- Full Lub analysis done routinely on product
- Certification of analysis-as needed
7. Criteria for Procurement
- Only approved raw materials are used at the facility
- Incoming raw materials checked to verify requirements
8. Shipping Policy
- Written shipping procedures exist to ensure customer requirements and quality of product
- All carriers are inspected for food cleanliness prior to loading Carriers not meeting standards are rejected.
